Nathan Gamble The Dark Night

I'm a HUGE Batman fan and I love comic books. I really loved "Batman Begins," so getting this part was awesome. I play James Gordon, Jr. (Jimmy), Commissioner Gordon's son. I auditioned on tape twice for the director, Christopher Nolan, but not in person because he was already filming the movie. Before I knew it, I was in Chicago acting with Gary Oldman! That was weird - to be in your backyard one day and the next be on a big Hollywood set. Christopher Nolan was very nice and always dressed up in a suit to direct in. Very formal British guy.

My part was filmed in Chicago and London. My family and I all went to London, England and we had a blast seeing all the sites: Big Ben, The London Eye, Parliament and the Tower of London. We even saw two big West End shows, "Wicked" and "The Lion King." That was cool! We stayed in a fancy hotel right on Hyde Park and these guys in big red coats would open the door for us every time we left the hotel. Gary Oldman, who is British, told my Dad all the scary and cool places to go visit in London, like where Jack the Ripper lived and stuff like that.

The Dark Knight - Now Available on DVD

My favorite scene (even though I wasn't in it) was the clown bank robbery in the very beginning. I think Heath was amazing. My scene with Batman was a bit challenging; Christian Bale and I were swinging on wire harnesses all day long in front of a ginormous green screen. At the end of the day, Christian let me try on his Batman mask for a picture. I tried to walk away with it on, but they caught me! I almost had a great souvenir!

I sure hope I'm going to be in the next movie... When I was wrapped on the set Gary said to me, "see you next time!"
